Tarynne Kinghorn
Tarynne Kinghorn grew up in rural southwest Iowa in a large family. She attended Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, IA, and played for the women’s tennis team. She graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Biology. She attended medical school at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. She completed her residency at The Ohio State University. During residency, she received several awards for mentorship of junior residents.
Tarynne visited Alaska in 2023 to visit family that had relocated to Anchorage and immediately fell in love with Alaska. She moved here with her husband after graduating from residency. She is excited to join Alaska Women’s Health, providing the full scope of OB/GYN care. She has a passion for patient education and always aims for patients to feel listened to and empowered when making choices about their health and body.
While not at work, she enjoys spending time with family, hiking, and exercising. She has an enthusiasm for interior design, and you can often find her painting a room in a new color or rearranging her furniture. She has a dog and two cats that bring her immense joy.
