Here are beautiful examples of 4-D Real Time Imaging performed by the sonographers at AWH on fetuses between 29 and 36 weeks gestation.

Our sonographers are contracted from Advanced Sonograms of Alaska and have many years of experience in pelvic and obstetrical ultrasounds. All of the ultrasounds performed in our office are interpreted by our own physicians. Due to this fact, you will have only one bill for each ultrasound performed versus two bills (one for the sonographer and one for the radiologist) for an ultrasound performed at a hospital. This is advantageous to our patients because it keeps costs lower and the patient can have her ultrasound and doctor's appointment on the same day at the same location. It is also advantageous to our providers because it gives them almost instant access to an ultrasound that is performed at our clinic.

Our NST's and BPP's are performed by one of our highly trained registered nurses and interpreted by our physicians. Again, this means you only have one charge for your NST or BPP instead of two like you would have at OB triage at the hospital (one for the performance of the test by an RN and one for the interpretation by a physician). Also, if the registered nurse sees anything of concern on the test she has immediate access to one of our physicians for a speedy response to any health concern. A patient can schedule an NST or BPP on the same day as her OB check appointment thus saving time and energy by having her appointments back to back at the same location.
