Our Providers - Kristin Murray, M.D.


Kristin Murray, M.D. was valedictorian of her graduating class at Bethel Regional High School in Bethel, Alaska. She has a varied work background and speaks fluent Yup’ik. In fact, Dr. Murray was formerly a Yup’ik translator for the Alaska Legislature, a Yup’ik news broadcaster, and a Pharmacist.

Dr. Murray graduated with honors with her Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from the University of Texas becoming a member of the Rho Chi Honor Society. Upon graduation she was Pharmacist and Pharmacy Manager in Brainerd, Minnesota.

Dr. Murray then pursued her Medical Doctorate at the University of Minnesota. After graduation, she completed a OBGYN residency at the University of New Mexico health sciences center before returning home to Alaska to work for the Alaska Native Medical Center. Dr. Murray joined Alaska Women’s Health in June of 2006. She is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG). She has received several awards including a Medical Student Teaching Award in 2002 and a Midwife Consultant Award in 2001.

Dr. Murray enjoys spending time with her family.
