With over 130 years combined experience, the providers of Alaska Women’s Health, demonstrate professionalism and expertise at every level. Offering a full range of obstetrics and gynecology services from your initial exam, to childbirth and through menopause and beyond, our goal is to offer patient centered medical care based on mutual trust and communication.

The Staff
The staff of Alaska Women’s Health is a team, truly committed to ensuring that you have a pleasant experience with our practice. It is our sincere hope that you will find every aspect of our relationship both courteous and fulfilling.

Office Hours
Monday - Wednesday: 7:45 AM to 5:00 PM
Thursday: 7:45 AM to 6:30PM
Friday: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

(Phone lines are manned by office staff until 5 PM)

Telephone Calls
One of Our staff will answer your call during regular office hours. If the office is closed, your call will be automatically transferred to our answering service.

One of our doctors is always on call during every hour of every day. If you need to speak with the doctor on call after regular office hours, just call the office and our answering service will assist you. Routine calls or calls to schedule an appointment should be done during normal office hours.

Emergencies
Emergencies will always receive priority regardless of the day or time.  One of our doctors is always available and can be reached through our answering service. Even when the office is closed, all you have to do is call our regular office phone number and you will automatically be transferred to the answering service so that the doctor can be reached.

Prescription Renewals
Most prescriptions are written at the time of your appointment with the appropriate number of refills. Patients should be up to date and current with their yearly exam. Patients may call their pharmacy to initiate a refill request with our office or call the office to speak with a nurse. New prescriptions are normally addressed at the time of your appointment.

Hospital Affiliations
Should your healthcare require hospitalization or hospital facilities Alaska Women’s Health utilizes both Providence Alaska Medical Center and Alaska Regional.

Outpatient surgeries may be scheduled at either hospital or at the Surgery Center of Anchorage.
